Clare's committment to artistic training ensures that she brings the latest wall and furniture techniques to Central Iowa.  Let her add interest, pizzazz or romance to any room or piece of furniture in your home or office.

Decorative artist Clare Bills has been creating faux finishes for walls for over 14 years- five professionally. She has taken painting classes from some of the best in the business, including:
Gary Lord, of the Prismatic Studio in Cincinatti;
Kathy Carroll, head of the Chicago Institute of Fine Finishes;
Brenda and Erik Deeter of the Morningstar Studio in Kansas City;
Theresa Purnell, at the Jennifer Rebecca Studio in Minneapolis; 
John and Greg of Pro Faux;
Jennifer Fergeson, of the Stencil Garden, 
KariBeth Miller, and Victor DeMasi. 

Clare holds an undergraduate degree in design, a minor in art and an MS in Public Relations.

Clare currently writes a monthly column in Facets Magazine about paint techniques and design.

ColorFaux Designs and owner Clare Bills were the feature article in the Business Times of the Ames Tribune.

Clare was also featured in an article in the Ames Life and Times edition of the Des Moines Register and she was quoted in the Iowa State Daily when she was selected as an "artist in residence" at Kitchen Bath and Home for the Art Walk in downtown Ames.
